These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the ownered.ai platform operated by Holtwood Holdings Ltd, registered in England and Wales ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
ownered.ai is a B2B SaaS platform for off-market business acquisition deal sourcing. The Service provides tools for searching UK company data via Companies House, managing outreach campaigns, email warm-up, deal tracking, and AI-assisted support.
The Service is designed for professional and commercial use. Our users include individual acquirers, search fund operators, advisors, consultants, and investment professionals. You do not need to have a registered company to subscribe. By registering, you confirm that you are using ownered.ai for professional or commercial purposes and not as a consumer purchasing for personal, domestic, or household use. UK consumer protection regulations (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015) do not apply to subscriptions entered into for business or professional purposes.
Access to the Service requires an active paid subscription. Subscription tiers and pricing are displayed at ownered.ai/pricing. All prices are in GBP and exclusive of VAT where applicable.
Company and contact records are accessed and used within the platform. Where the platform provides a feature to download or print materials — such as generating postal outreach letters — you may use that feature for your own legitimate outreach. You agree not to use the Service to:
We monitor usage for compliance with these terms. Suspected abuse may result in temporary suspension pending investigation, a formal warning with a remediation period, or permanent account termination without refund, depending on severity. We will communicate our findings to you in writing where practicable.
ownered.ai makes available company registration data and People with Significant Control (PSC) records sourced from Companies House. This data is publicly available information published under the Open Government Licence v3.0 by Companies House, an executive agency of the Department for Business and Trade. Records are held internally and refreshed periodically from the public register.
By using the platform you acknowledge that: (i) company and PSC data sourced via ownered.ai originates from the public Companies House register; (ii) you are responsible for ensuring your use of that data complies with all applicable laws including UK GDPR, PECR, and the Companies House acceptable use policy; and (iii) ownered.ai does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of Companies House data as it is dependent on information filed by the companies themselves.
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy. In summary: we store only what is necessary to provide the Service, we do not sell your data, and you retain ownership of all data you input.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of contact data sourced through the platform complies with all applicable data protection laws, including UK GDPR and PECR. You act as the data controller for any personal data you process through your outreach campaigns.
The platform includes an AI-powered assistant. Usage is governed by the credit allowances associated with your subscription plan, which are displayed within the platform. Where usage significantly exceeds your plan allowance, we reserve the right to apply temporary rate limiting until your allowance resets at the start of your next billing cycle. In cases of suspected intentional abuse of the AI assistant, we may escalate to account suspension or termination under Section 4.
The platform includes AI-powered features, including the Ownered AI Analyst, the AI Navigator (concierge), the DNS & Domain Setup Assistant, and other AI-assisted tools (together, the "AI Features"). The AI Features generate outputs automatically using third-party large language models and other automated systems.
You acknowledge and agree that outputs produced by the AI Features may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading, and may contain errors or fabricated information. We do not warrant, represent, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose of any AI-generated output.
AI-generated outputs — including any acquisition analysis, valuation commentary, risk assessment, financial figures, or recommendations produced by the Ownered AI Analyst — are provided for general informational purposes only. They do not constitute, and must not be relied upon as, financial, legal, tax, accounting, investment, or professional advice of any kind. No fiduciary, advisory, or professional relationship is created by your use of the AI Features.
You are solely responsible for independently reviewing, verifying, and validating all AI-generated output before acting on it, including by seeking advice from suitably qualified professionals and conducting your own due diligence. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on, or use of, any output generated by the AI Features. This Section 8 operates in addition to, and without limiting, the limitation of liability in Section 10.
All software, design, branding, and content within the ownered.ai platform is the exclusive property of Holtwood Holdings Ltd. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service during your active subscription. This licence does not transfer any ownership rights to you.
The platform is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Holtwood Holdings Ltd shall not be liable for loss of profits, loss of data, indirect or consequential damages, or damages arising from your use of third-party services integrated with the platform (including company data providers, email delivery services, payment processors, or AI services).
Our total aggregate liability in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in that period.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for any loss arising from temporary unavailability of the platform or third-party services we depend on.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or use the platform in a manner that risks harm to us, other users, or third parties. On termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. We will provide written notice of termination where practicable.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes via email with at least 14 days notice. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
